H.E President Abbas Receives a Delegation from AUG in Ramallah

October 17, 2018 – H.E President Abbas Received a Delegation of AUG Board of Trustees in Ramallah, in the presence of Dr. Sabri Saidam Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Ziad Abu Amr, Dr. Ali Abu Zuhri, Members of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Ismail Jabr, Rawhi Fattouh, and Jamal Moheisen, Members of Fateh Central Committee, and Dr. Mahmoud Habash, Judge of Palestine.

The delegation from AUG consisted of Prof. Ibrahim Ibrach, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Khalil Abu Al Foul, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Eng. Tareq Zoaroub, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Dr. Majid Abu Ramadan, Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Information, Mr. Sharibel Al Zaim, Chairman of the Legal Committee, Dr. Ola Awad and Dr. Mahmoud Al Zaq, Members of the board.

During the meeting, Dr. Ibrach and the delegates briefed the President on the current conditions of the University considering the deteriorating conditions in the Gaza Strip. They also briefed His Excellency on the proposed plans for the development of the university at various levels.

Dr. Ibrach praised the direct attention and great support of President towards the Palestinian educational sector in general and AUG in particular.

For his part, President Abbas expressed his keenness to develop the university, being one of the most important national universities.
