About Faculty of Engineering & IT
Due to the growing demands on technology and its immense and influential impacts on society, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology was established in 2001 in order to enable the effective use of information technology in support of the University mission.
The faculty has a strong reputation for its practice-based learning programs and industry engagement. Its programs cover the very area of Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Technology in both education and research, and it has achieved several substantial results in these fields.
In order to excel in research and innovation that discover new knowledge and new technological systems, the faculty develops a well-structured strategic plan with emphasis on quality educational programs and practical training. We have a strong focus on collaborative research with the aim of improving individual lives and society as a whole, not just in Palestine but around the globe.
The faculty is a stimulating learning environment that ensures the values and foundational principles which support a healthy community of diverse and supportive staff, preparing students for careers in dynamic and challenging sectors.

I am humbled and honored to serve as the acting dean of this Faculty. In an age marked by groundbreaking ideas in Information Technology, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology has stood as a vibrant and dynamic environment. We have a strong reputation for providing high quality in research and teaching, and we boast a wealth of research and remarkable achievements in addition to an outstanding presence in national and regional conferences and reputable journals.
The faculty's main objective is to provide students with practical and industry-focused programs designed to graduate engineers and technologists who meet the standards of global markets and who are well prepared for today’s competitive environment.
