Academic Affairs Discusses the Need of the Labour Market for Graduates in the Field of Marine Studies

October 7, 2018 - A workshop was conducted by Academic Affairs to discuss the need of the labour market for university graduates in the field of Marine Studies.

The workshop was attended by Prof. Sami Musleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Awni Abu Samaan, Assistant Academic Vice-Dean, Dr. Hatem Al-Shanti, Member of Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Dr. Ghassan Abu Araf - UNRWA, Dr. Mazen Abu Amro and Dr. Ayman Ayad, Members of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.

Many private sector key players participated in the workshop including Fishermen, Engineers and Trade Unionists, where they discussed the university’s potentials and capacities in developing the Maritime Sector and the ability of this sector to absorb university graduates in the long term.
