Delegation from the Palestinian Federation of Litterateurs and Writers Visits AUG

October 2, 2018 - A delegation from the Palestinian Federation of Litterateurs and writers visited AUG as a part of a cultural journey to visit Academic and Archaeological landmarks.

The delegation consisted of several Writers, Poets and Novelists and was led by Prof. Abdullah Tayeh, Assistant Secretary General of the Federation.

In his welcoming speech, Prof. Ibrahim Abraash, Chairman of the Board of Trustees shed the light on the significant role of AUG in the Palestinian society stressing the need to continue communication between the University and the Federation of Litterateurs and Writers.

Prof. Hani Nejm, University President attached great importance to literature and creativity to strengthen the Palestinian culture.

Dr. Jihad Abu Taweelah, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences highlighted that the visit is a continuation of the cooperation between the University and the Federation which would have an impact on the development of bilateral relations. He stressed that the doors of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences are open to the Federation to carry out activities and events.

For his part, Mr. Abdullah Tayeh expressed his gratitude to the University and discussed the role of creative youth and the possibility of developing their creative writing.

At the end of visit, participants engaged in a fruitful discussion in which they exchanged ideas that would strengthen the relationship between AUG and the Federation
