Aug 14, 2017 – Prof. Dr. Abdulkhalik El Farra congratulated the staff members of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences for winning a funding opportunity for their project from Erasmus Plus Program.
The project, entitled "Increasing the Conformance of Academia towards Rehabilitation Engineering -i-CARE", is the only project that has been approved for funding among the projects submitted by the universities of the Gaza Strip .It aims to develop new academic programs and cadres, upgrade laboratories, enhance students' skills in unique fields and disciplines, create new programs, and provide medical and engineering equipment in the areas of rehabilitation.
The project comes in partnership with the Islamic University of Gaza, the University College of Applied Sciences, El-Wafa Medical Rehab & specialized Surgery Hospital, and a number of prestigious European universities: Dublin city university-Ireland (DCU), "Angle Kanchev", university of Ruse, University Rehabilitation Institute-Republic of Slovenia, Bulgarian Association for Transfer of Technology and Innovation-BATTI.
