Al Fakhoora Delegation Visited AUG

July 27, 2017 – A high-level delegation consisted of Eng. Shadi Saleh, Al Fakhoora representative in the Gaza Strip and Eng. Moataz Badwan, Project Manager at Al Fakhoora in Gaza visited AUG.

Prof. Dr. AbdulKhalik El Farra, President of AUG; Eng. Mohammed Al Wazir, Director of Projects Unit; and Eng. Mohammed Abu Mezied ,Eng. Osama Al Nahal, and Eng. Aliaa Abu Shawish from the UNDP Supervision team received the delegates .

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. El Farra pointed out AUG preparations for the new academic year, particularly in opening new programs that fulfil the needs of the Gazan community. He briefed the delegates on the latest construction in the new campus as well as the upgrading in the university labs.

For his part, Eng. Saleh commended on what he witnessed while visiting Al- Fakhoora- funded projects before the meeting.

The delegates, accompanied by UNDP supervision team and Eng. Al Wazir, visited the currently implemented projects in AUG within Al Fakhoora program to repair the damages caused by war 2014.

It is worth to mention that the projects (Renovation of Classrooms, Sheikh Awad Hall Renovation and Main Telephone Exchange project) are funded by Education Above All in Qatar, followed -up by Al Fakhoora and supervised by UNDP/PAPP.
