Senior Consultant Radiologist in Hamad Medical Corporation Visited AUG

Apr 5, 2017 - Dr. Adham Darweesh, Senior Consultant Radiologist, Head of Body Imaging, Deputy Program Director in Hamad Medical Corporation, and a Professor of Clinical Radiology in Weill Cornell Medical College visited AUG.

Dr. Darweesh was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Abdel Khaliq El Farra, President of AUG; Prof. Dr. Sami Muslih, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Marwan Al Agha, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Esmat Abu Asaker, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Khaled Abushab, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences; Dr. Ali Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology; Dr. Samy Al-Agha, Assistant Professor of Medical Imaging and Dr. Mazen Hamada, President of the Board at the University Presidency.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. El Farra briefed on the long history of AUG medical faculties and commended on the competencies of its graduates. He praised Dr. Darweesh's academic and professional journey as a Palestinian person who walk this path to success and international excellence in the medical field.

Prof. Dr. El Farra expressed AUG's interest in initiating cooperation means with Hamad Medical Corporation and Weill Cornell Medical College.

For his part, Dr. Darweesh confirmed the reciprocal interest in promoting scientific and research cooperation with AUG, applauding the high level of education in the medical faculties of AUG and the readiness of its graduates.
