Nov 20, 2016 – The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) signed a joint cooperation agreement with Al Azhar University- Gaza (AUG), the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), and University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS). The agreement included implementing a project for upgrading specialized medical laboratories in medical education institutions in Gaza.
The agreement was signed among QRCS Executive Director, Mr. Fahad AlNaimi, in the presence of Dr. Akram Nassar, QRCS Director in Gaza, Dr. Heba Al-Mahallawy, QRCS Health Project Officer and Mr. Saji Al Shawa , QRCS Director of Public Relations ; AUG Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sami Muslih, in the presence of Eng. Mohamed Al Wazir Director of Projects Unit; IUG President , Prof. Dr. Adel. Awadallah; and UCAS President, Prof. Dr. Rifa'at Roustem.
It's worth mentioning that AUG's proposal was prepared by specialized academics from the Faculty of pharmacy, the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Center of Drug Analysis and Research, and the Institute of Water and Environment to upgrade the scientific and research centers.
