AUG: 25 Years of Excellence

Nov 20, 2016 - Under the patronage of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, AUG held a cerebration on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of its establishment.

 The silver jubilee celebration was attended by the Board of Trustees, University Council, AUG former presidents, and presidents of Gazan universities, governors, MPs, banks' directors, representatives of national factions, civil society representatives, and AUG staff members.

 On behalf of the Palestinian President, Dr. Abdulrahman Hamad, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, delivered a speech to congratulate AUG on this auspicious occasion. He pointed that AUG was established by a presidential decree in 1991 to be a prominent higher education institution in the Palestinian community.

In the Board of Trustees speech, Dr. Ahmed Al Yaziji explained that AUG has achieved remarkable scientific achievements and got advanced ranks in several forums, thanks to the efforts of scientists and talented researchers.

AUG President Prof. Dr. Abdulkhaliq El Farra extended in his speech his genuine appreciation to everyone contributed in the establishment and development of AUG to be a beacon of academic excellence.
