Nov 6, 2016 - Under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Rahman Hamad, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at AUG launched "The First Scientific Conference for Community Development".
The conference, sponsored by JAWWAL and Bank of Palestine, was attended by members of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Abdul Khaliq El Farra, President of AUG; Dr. Mohammed Fares, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Chairman of the Conference; chairpersons and members of the preparatory, scientific and media committees; and a large crowd of leaders and national figures, in addition to members of the University Council, university professors and dozens of researchers participating in the Conference.
In the Board of Trustees Speech, Dr. Hamad said," the Conference reflects AUG's authenticity as well as its commitment to discuss the Palestinians concerns," adding that the Conference consolidated the approach of developing scientific research and contributed to providing solutions and objective recommendations to achieve the desired development in the Palestinian community.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. El Farra applauded the conference's mission and objectives, pointing out that such scientific conferences indicated the university's progress and development in the field of scientific research and community service.
For his part, Chairman of the Conference highlighted the importance of this Conference in the light of the current regional and global conditions that left a clear impact on the process of community development.
Prof. Dr. Abdallah El-Habil explained that the submitted research (88 researches) discussed substantial problems facing the Palestinian community in various areas of achieving development.
The Conference consisted of five scientific sessions and four hubs (Administration, Economics, Statics, and Accounting), held on two successive days.
