Future for Palestine Visited AUG

Oct 3, 2016 –A delegation from Future For Palestine (FFP), consisted Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan, FFP Board Member and Eng. Maher Anan, FFP Consultant in Gaza visited AUG.

The delegates were received by Prof. Dr. Sami Muslih, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Marwan Al-Agha Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assistant of Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Usama Zaineldeen, Eng. Mohamed Al Wazir, Director of Projects Unit, and Eng. Raghib Attallah , Vice President for Engineering and Technical Affairs.

The visit aimed to follow- up the constructive cooperation with FFP to accomplish the first of its kind project in the Gaza Strip. The project includes supplying, installation, and operating solar power system to generate and store 75 kW for the benefit of the university. It provides a sustainable source of environmentally friendly energy using solar power to overcome the electricity crisis in Gaza. It is also considered a typical and practical project for the Faculty of Engineering, which will soon open the Department of Renewable Energy.
