AUG participates in WSA Mobile Content Result Announcement

Aug 24, 2016 - Via videoconference, AUG participated in the press conference of the global initiative World Summit Award (WSA) - Mobile Content held at Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence (HCIE) HQ in Ramallah.

 During the conference, Eng. Ashraf Al Astal, WSA Mobile National Expert for Palestine announced winning seven projects to represent Palestine in the third session of WSA-Mobile Content, in the presence of HCIE President and board members in GS and WB, WSA board members in Palestine, and developers of the winning applications and candidate for WSA- Mobile Content.

The winning projects are "Report Violations" app in government and citizen engagement category, in the category of health and well-being app "GraviLog" for Mobitine Company, app "Gardina" wined in environment and green energy category, Switch Company's app
 " Dentex" in the category of business and commerce, and in learning and education category app" Testudo-Diagnostic Math Game", in addition to the winning apps "Capture Caption" and "Swiftbraille" in culture and  tourism category and the category of inclusion and  empowerment.   

It's worth mentioning that the World Summit Award (WSA) is a global initiative to which aims to select and promote the world’s best in digital content and innovative applications within the framework of, and in cooperation with, the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), mandated by the WSIS Plan of Action and executed in collaboration with UNESCO, UNIDO and UN GAID.
