Jun 2, 2016 - Under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Al Azhar University –Gaza (AUG) hosted a workshop discussed the national application of the Graduate Tracking System (GTS), funded by World Bank.
The workshop, held via videoconference, was attended by Dr. Awni Abu Saman, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Osama Buhaisi, Director of Information Technology Unit, and Mr. Akram Abu Hamam Director of Graduates Department in addition to delegates from most Gazan universities.
The attendees discussed the initiating of the new version of the GTS national application for all the universities. Within the ten coming days, the national application of GTS will be installed in all the Palestinian universities with a central follow-up from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. It is anticipated that the new application will provide accurate information about the university students, graduates, and their academic programs. It will also provide information about the private sector, and will effectively contribute to the development of the academic programs and graduates' capabilities and facilitate their involvement in the labor market.
