National Erasmus+ Office Director Visited AUG

May 24, 2016 - Dr. Nidal Al-Jayousi, National Erasmus Office Director in Palestine visited Al Azhar University-Gaza (AUG). He was received by Prof. Dr. Sami Muslih, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali An Najar, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Madhat Sadallah, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Awni Abu Saman, Assistant of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mazen Hamada, President of the Board at the University Presidency and Mr. Hashim Kassab, Director of Public Relations.

In his remarks, Dr. Al-Jayousi expressed his pride of AUG's latest achievements in the field of scientific research, confirming the importance of achieving fruitful joint cooperation with European universities within Erasmus+ programs. He went on to highlight EU actions which aim at strengthening the capacities of higher educational institutions.

During the meeting, the obstacles facing researchers in the Gaza Strip, AUG's vision to promote scientific research and the quality of education, and the cooperation with EU- universities were all discussed.
