Erasmus & World Bank Support New Study Plans




May 21, 2016 –Within the framework of implementing two projects in the Faculty of Education at AUG" Teacher Education Improvement", funded by EU-Erasmus Mundus Program and "The Support of the Practical Aspects of the Faculty", funded by World Bank, the faculty organized a series of workshops in partnership with international experts from Canterbury University in UK, University of Eastern Finland, and Fontys University.

The intensive workshops were held with the purpose of preparing a new study plan to improve the competencies and skills of basic education teachers. The new study plan will develop the capacities of the faculty staff members to teach new courses based on practical education. Furthermore, it will take into consideration the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education which aims to make the students more capable of analytical, creative, and critical thinking.

New majors will be included in the new plan such as Inclusive Education and Special Groups, Technical Learning and Teaching. Therefore, the faculty has prepared a number of smart classrooms according to the latest international standards, applicable in the universities of Finland which has the best educational system in the world and under the direct supervision of the University of Eastern Finland.
