The Faculty of Law and Faculty of Agriculture and Environment at AUG collaborated for a scientific day titled Agricultural Products in the Scale of Law The scientific day aimed to protect farmers and consumers through the legal clinic within a campaign to advocate a support Afaaq Rahbaa for developing legal education project, funded by the United Nations Development Program PAPP. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Najar; Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs , Prof. Dr. Nasr Abu Foul; Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Saher Al Waleed; Dean of the Faculty of Law and a number of faculty members and agronomists attending the scientific day. During the day, Dr. Ahmed Abu Shaaban; a member of the Faculty of Agriculture presented a set of worksheets that talked about the disadvantages of the remaining impact of agricultural pesticides on plant products and the passive use of such pesticides and its impact on human health. He also talked about the possibility of switching to safe plantations in the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, Dr. Nayif Al-Farra, addressed the duties and rights of farmers, Dr. Rami Wishah talked about the civil responsibility towards farmers and presented Prof. Sami Ghoniem; the criminal liability of the farmers. The session was chaired and moderated by Dr. Abdullah Al-Farra from the Faculty of Law. After opening discussions with the audience .The audience made specific recommendations to regulators on how to deal with agricultural pesticides and put forward practical solutions to reduce the use of agricultural pesticides. Moreover, providing community outreach by experts to address the problem of the negative use of pesticides program was suggested by the audience, In addition to, finding solutions for the producer and the product. Moreover, provide rules and regulations that protect the consumer. The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Prof. Dr. Nasr Abu Foul, shed light on the importance of this scientific day in finding solutions for both farmers and consumers. In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Saher Al-Waleed, mentioned that these kind of sessions helps in developing experiences and benefiting from each other's fields of study.
