New Training Courses to Develop Extension Services

Jul 12, 2017 – In cooperation with Secours Islamique France, the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment launched a series of training courses to provide extension services for farmers.

The courses came as part of Food Security for Poor Families Project which aims to develop the agricultural and livestock production systems, productivity, and profitability of 350 farmers.

The training courses include 12 agricultural engineers who recently graduated from the faculty. In addition to field visits and practical training sessions, specialists are going to provide the trainees with 90 training hours in the fields of planning and implementing agricultural extension programs, applying the concepts of field farms, increasing farmers' productivity through technology development, and technical agricultural and plant production practices.

It is expected to hire the best ten trainees in the ongoing project as agricultural extension agents during the project's period.
