Organization and Rationale

The conference is planned and organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Deanship of Scientific Research at AUG. The organization of this conference builds on the achievements and recommendations of the Second International Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences held by the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2022. It also reflects the university’s dedication to its academic and research mission and its firm belief in the vital role of scientific research in driving development and progress despite the magnitude of the significant losses suffered by AUG and the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as the immense challenges faced during the 2023 war.

During the 2023 war, the university suffered extensive damage, leaving several buildings partially or entirely destroyed. The entire infrastructure was ruined, including the laboratories and research centers that serve as the backbone of the academic and scientific communities. Despite these losses, the Faculty of Pharmacy remains steadfast in its commitment to education and research, where the organization of this conference stands as a testament to the Faculty of Pharmacy’s resolve to recover from the impacts of the war and to rise above the challenges it created. It reflects a spirit of resilience and perseverance, reaffirming the faculty commitment to sustaining its academic and research activities while continuing to fulfill its scientific and societal responsibilities. Moreover, it highlights ongoing efforts to rebuild capacity, strengthen scientific research, and promote academic collaboration, based on the conviction that knowledge and science are essential foundations for recovery and advancement in the face of adversity
