Nov 29, 2015 – The Faculty of Dentistry celebrated the graduation of the fourth batch of students who obtained a bachelor's degree in Dentistry.
The ceremony, which was held in Al Mashtal Hotel, was attended the member of Executive Committee of the PLO Prof. Dr. Riyad Hassan El Khoudary, Dr. Abdullah Al-Afranji - Governor of Gaza, PLC Member Dr. Ahmed Abu Houli, Prof.Dr. Sami Muslih- Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali An Najar- Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Dr. Mohamed Megdad , Mr. Sa'eb Samour- Deputy Director of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Sami Harb - Director of the General Dentistry in the Ministry of Health and a number of AUG council members,Mr. Sa'eb Samour- Deputy Director of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Sami Harb - Director of the General Dentistry in the Ministry of Health and a number of AUG trustees , faculty members , AUG council members.
In the Board of Trustees' remarks, Dr. Mohamed Salama congratulated the graduates and their families, appreciating the role of the organizing committee and the official sponsor of the ceremony.
For his part, Prof.Dr. Sami Muslih , Vice Presdient for Academic Affairs , confirmed that AUG is proud of its graduates, wishing them successful careers as dentists. He added that the great development of AUG's buildings and the increasing admission to enroll in its distinctive programs placed AUG as the leading university in the Gaza Strip.
In her graduation speech, graduate Nour Kulab, speaking on behalf of the fourth batch, said," we are privileged to be part of this stimulating faculty, whose staff and students were family to me. We faced many difficulties and challenges during our study but were able to overcome; this helped us ignite the spirit of leadership with a clear and positive vision."
The ceremony included videos of the students' memories during their study and their ambitions after graduation.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates were handed and souvenir pictures were taken in joyous atmosphere of Al Dabke (Palestinian folk dance) and patriotic songs.
