Apr 30, 2017 – Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities held a symposium to review the winning poems in the poetry competition announced by the department several months ago.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Al Louh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Dr. Mohamed Abu Ghifreh, Head of Arabic Language Dept.; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Boji, Professor of Arabic Literature and Criticism; and a number of faculty members and students attended the symposium.
The twenty six winners in the poetry competition recited their winning poems that addressed national and societal themes.
Poet Faieq Abu Shawish attended the symposium and recited a collection of his poems which he presented to the hunger-striking prisoners in Israeli jails.
